Street Photography at School
Our task today was to take around 20 street photography photographs while using the them 'Looking Down', from an angle where you are higher or above the person/thing you are taking an image of. The theme was "Looking Down" which I think me and my friend did quite well. At first we had the camera on the wrong setting so we were taking photos in black and white, I added one of the black and white photos in because I liked how it came out, I liked it because it was positioned very well and the subject came out clear and it was following in the theme of 'Looking Down.'. We used the manual setting for the camera.
Looking down
Shadows and reflections
Today me and Louise were set a task to take around 20 photographs each of shadows and reflections. Shadows are very easy so find so we tried to find more reflections rather than shadows. 10 out of 16 photographs are reflections.
Over the shoulder
In this lesson I decided to take 10 photographs with the theme 'over the shoulder'. It is when you take an image with someone back taking around harp of the frame and when the centre of the photograph is just about the persons shoulder.
Cropping
In this task we decided to take around 10 photographs using the theme 'cropping'. To take an image like this you could take a normal image and then afterwards crop it or take an image zoomed in or go close up to the subject. I shared my camera with another student in the class which helped me get a variation of images.
Walk on by
In this task we were told to take around 10 photographs using the schools cameras. The theme in which we were told to take images in were walk on by, i personally found this photo challange very easy to do.
Surfaces
For this photography challange the class went out of the classroom and took 10 photographs using digital cameras of different type of surfaces around the school.
Street Photography on holiday
These 21 photographs were taken by me on my iPhone 6 during my week off school. I tried to take as many street photographs as i could and these were the best ones (in my opinion). My favourite ones are of a pot of purple little flower with a dog in the background, but the camera isn't focused on the dog which is why i like it and the other one is of a bright red bench and a white table in the sun but the wall next to it is covered in graffiti which is a little odd since the coffee shop's theme was cute and old.
Tate Modern Street Photography Trip
My favourite photograph
I've picked this image to annotate because of how in focus it is and it shows some perspective lines which is one of my favourite things in photography. I took this image as i was waiting to cross the road to get to the Tate Museum. Another reason as to why i like this photograph is that I took it so quickly as i needed to cross the road, it shows the images you think will turn out the worst may turn out the best. One thing I think could be better in this photograph is its background. I find if the the road had cars or people on it the photograph would be much more lively and interesting.
